...I severely dislike weightlifting. The bar, and even more so my body, simply would not do what I wanted it to do. I only have myself to blame however... I was very lazy with my flexibility work over the weekend and it showed significantly today.

So, I have two more heavy sessions left before I compete at the Senior World Weightlifting Championships in nine days time. These sessions will take place on Wednesday and Saturday of this week. I am very happy to see that there are quite a few athletes entered on the start list with totals a little below and above my own so it looks like I will have a few lifters to compete against which is always nice.
As for my targets for Paris, I will not be happy with anything less than 115-117/150 for new national senior clean and jerk & total records... Should all go very well, I hope to close in on a 270kg total which would not be too embarrassing for a 77kg athlete...
